Delegate Selection Process

In July 2020, every state across our nation will send Democrats to Milwaukee for the 2020 Democratic National Convention.  Beginning this year, each state will prepare a Delegate Selection Plan that details how voters in the state can participate in the presidential nominating process and includes details on the number of delegates allocated to each state, how to file for delegate positions and how those delegates are elected.  The Plans will also provide the details of each state's Affirmative Action Plan and Outreach and Inclusion Programs that are required to encourage full participation in the delegate selection process and to achieve broad representation by all of the Party's constituencies within the delegation.

Democrats who are interested in becoming a delegate to the 2020 Democratic National Convention should contact their Democratic State Party for more information.
